Translation Team Lead (Chinese-English)

Job Responsibilities for Chinese-English Team Leader:

  • Ensure Team Stability and Meet Demands:
  • Responsible for maintaining stable collaboration within the Chinese-English team, ensuring efficient work distribution and teamwork, and ensuring smooth communication across levels. Able to independently manage the Chinese-English language team, responsible for delivering common solutions within the team, planning, and driving execution. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-department teams, identify and address issues or friction that arise, and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Adjust Team Structure According to Company Requirements:
  • Responsible for the recruitment of Chinese-English translators and proofreaders, ensuring smooth handover of tasks between old and new team members, providing training, and ensuring all team members understand the workflow and requirements. Regularly update team members on any company changes. Understand the requirements and workflows for both full-time/part-time roles and translator/proofreader positions, and adjust staffing as needed according to individual capabilities.
  • Continuous Quality Monitoring:
  • Ensure all team members meet established KPIs and OKRs. Analyze team performance (such as response timeliness and error feedback on multilingual content), and provide timely optimization suggestions. Organize the team to conduct web and app quality monitoring and debugging for Chinese-English language pairs, ensuring front-end content meets high language quality standards. Follow up on user and stakeholder feedback on language issues. Regularly organize team learning sessions to understand industry best practices, keep up with industry trends, and enhance the overall capability of the team. Ensure translation and proofreading work adheres to the latest concepts, universal standards, and norms.
  • Complete Translation Tasks for Various Business Lines:
  • Collaborate with the team to complete translation tasks and requirements assigned by various business lines, responsible for Chinese-English translations and market localization of company content, including but not limited to white papers, web pages, apps, product descriptions, and user guides. Responsible for proofreading Chinese text, creative translation, LQA bug checking, and localization quality evaluation.
  • Language Asset Management:
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining language assets such as glossaries, style guides, and corpora for the Chinese-English language pair.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in linguistics, translation, project management, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the translation or language services industry, with team management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry, with a good understanding of cryptocurrency operations and rules.
  • Familiarity with translation management tools (such as CAT tools), proficiency in using Trados, MemoQ, or other mainstream translation software, and familiarity with or knowledge of quality testing tools (such as ABBYY Aligner).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to issues.
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English to meet the working environment requirements.
  • A deep understanding of multicultural work environments, with the ability to effectively facilitate cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure, able to handle urgent tasks and a fast-paced work environment.
