This role is based at our primary site in Istanbul, with additional locations in Ankara and Izmir

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about languages and how words connect with people? We’re looking for a highly motivated Translation Specialist to bring our content to life in both English and Turkish! In this role, you’ll go beyond just translating—you’ll localise, refine, and optimise written materials to make sure they sound natural and engaging. You’ll work closely with our talented internal teams to create content that truly resonates with our audience. Principal Accountabilities

Document Translation and Quality Assurance

Translate, proofread, and edit a variety of documents, including user manuals, test instructions, marketing materials, legal documents, website content, and informational texts.

Multitasking and Deadline Management

Work on multiple translation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Terminology Research and Accuracy

Research industry-specific terminology and language to ensure accuracy and precision.

Cultural and Linguistic Adaptation

Adapt translations to align with cultural and linguistic nuances as required.

Team Collaboration and Terminology Consistency

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent terminology and messaging while effectively responding to customers’ needs

Translation Tools and Efficiency

Utilize translation tools and software to enhance efficiency and quality.

Task Tracking and Reporting

Maintain comprehensive records of all completed and pending tasks, providing regular updates and reports to management.

Task Prioritisation and Efficient Planning

Systematically organize pending tasks, prioritizing them based on feedback and approval from management, and develop necessary plans to address these priorities efficiently.

Compliance with Policies and Regulations

Adhere to company policies, applicable laws, and regulations in all tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies
  • Proven experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar role.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • An advanced command of the English and Turkish languages, with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and eagerness to learn new applications as needed.
  • Strong understanding of translation and localization strategies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong research skills and a willingness to learn new industry terminologies.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g. SDL Trados, MemoQ) and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Commitment to complying with personal data protection laws and regulations.
  • Openness to cooperation and collaboration.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work at an intense pace.
  • Good time management skills
