Our Customer is an American computer and consumer electronics company famous for creating phones and computers. As one of the largest companies globally with a market cap of over 2 trillion dollars, it is a major leader in the space. Although this company was founded in 1976 it has transformed how we connect and communicate worldwide.

We are seeking a UI Localization Project Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role requires assistance in localization efforts, coordinating projects, working with translation vendors locally and internationally, and interacting with multiple team members in the internal team. The candidate will be using the translated software, writing, and communicating QA plans, supporting QA efforts in the localization lab, fixing bugs, and ultimately help deliver high quality localized products on time in up to 40 languages simultaneously. The candidate needs the skills to quickly recognize and raise issues and communicate status effectively to their management. This role is onsite in Austin, TX.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in localization efforts, coordinate projects, work with translation vendors locally and internationally, and interact with multiple team members in the internal team
  • Use the translated software, writing, and communicating QA plans, supporting QA efforts in the localization lab, fixing bugs, and ultimately help deliver high quality localized products on time in up to 40 languages simultaneously
  • Project manage campaigns from concept level to go-live, represent localization team in meetings, manage deliverables, prepare and present presentations
  • Work with producers of English/Int’l English/other language content, and vendors to ensure that localization production can be undertaken with no rework

Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management or localization
  • Solid understanding of Localization Workflows, Software Development, and Software QA
  • Experience working with content management databases and localization tools
  • Proven record of localization project management, testing and bug tracking
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills and experience
  • Experience with planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within very tight timeframes
  • High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail to the job
  • Ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables and call out blockers, as soon as they arise, to the multi-functional partners
  • Ability to be flexible, highly organized, and respond quickly and enthusiastically to often rapidly changing direction
  • Ability to be inventive, able to handle complex situations and deadlines, have very good analytical skills, and strong aim to learn and succeed

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with UI and Terminology
  • Experience with scripting in Python and JavaScript
  • Native-level fluency in one or more languages besides English: Hindi, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Thai, Slovak, Hungarian, Czech, Croatian, Malay, Turkish
