Position Overview:
We seek an experienced Vendor Manager to oversee interpreter recruitment, onboarding, and management. This role requires strong knowledge of the language service industry, with a focus on sign language interpretation. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, professional English proficiency, and a keen ability to build and maintain relationships with interpreters. Sign language skills are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, vet, and onboard qualified interpreters, focusing on ASL professionals.
- Manage interpreter contracts, scheduling, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with interpreters to ensure high engagement and retention.
- Ensure all interpreters meet certification, background check, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to match interpreters with client needs efficiently.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Experience in interpreter onboarding, vendor management, or language services.
- Strong understanding of sign language interpretation (ASL knowledge preferred but not required).
- Excellent professional English proficiency (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
