We are looking for a Technical Translator / Interpreter (Russian English) to join a growing company operating in the oil & gas and industrial equipment sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate Russian – English and English Russian translation and interpretation for technical, operational, and business matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical, operational, and business documents, correspondence, reports, manuals, specifications, and contracts.
- Provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, calls, and negotiations.
- Work confidently with technical terminology and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, technical staff, management, suppliers, and contractors.
- Maintain consistency in technical terminology and translations.
- Ensure confidentiality of company information and documentation.
- Support management and relevant departments with translation and interpretation as required.
- Develop and maintain a technical glossary of company-specific terminology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Linguistics, Translation, English, or a technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in technical translation and/or interpreting.
- Native or fluent Russian and advanced/fluent English, including technical English.
- Strong knowledge of technical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Experience with engineering, oil & gas, maritime, industrial, logistics, shipping, or similar technical documentation is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Responsible, discreet, proactive, and professional approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work with PDF and technical documentation.
Working Conditions
- Salary: AED 10,000 + per month
- Benefits and annual leave as per UAE Labour Law.
