Role Description The Mandarin Translator is a full-time, on-site role based in Taguig. This role is responsible for translating written and verbal communications between Mandarin and English/Filipino, including emails, documents, reports, and real-time conversations. The translator will support cross-functional teams by interpreting meetings, assisting with communication between local and regional stakeholders, and ensuring that technical and business terminology is accurately conveyed. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and editing translated materials for accuracy and clarity, maintaining glossaries and terminology databases, and collaborating with operations and management teams to enable smooth coordination with Mandarin-speaking partners and colleagues. The role may also involve supporting training sessions, presentations, and customer or vendor communications that require Mandarin language support.
Qualifications
- Strong Mandarin language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) and excellent command of English; Filipino fluency is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in translation or interpretation, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a related business environment.
- Ability to accurately translate technical and business content while preserving meaning, tone, and context.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate clear understanding between multilingual stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple translation tasks under time constraints.
- Comfort working on-site in Taguig and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with common office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software); experience with translation tools or glossaries is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Communication, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in express delivery, logistics, or e-commerce industries is an advantage.
