Role Description The Italian Transcription Project role at DatoviaPlayHouse is a full-time, remote position focused on transcribing Italian audio and video content into accurate written text. Day-to-day tasks include listening to recordings, accurately capturing spoken dialogue, applying correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and following project-specific guidelines and formatting standards. The role also involves verifying speaker identification, time-stamping where required, and reviewing and revising transcripts to ensure quality and consistency. Collaboration with project managers and quality assurance teams to meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy levels is expected, along with adherence to data privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong Italian language proficiency, including excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Previous experience in transcription, linguistic work, or related content production roles.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow style guides, formatting rules, and project instructions.
- Comfort with technology, including transcription tools, audio players, and productivity software.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable equipment for remote work (computer, headset).
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong listening skills, including the ability to understand different Italian accents and speech speeds.
- Experience with multilingual or localization projects is a plus, as well as familiarity with AI-assisted workflows.
