Do I need any prior knowledge to start the DTP course?
Nope, we’ll teach you everything about localization desktop publishing from scratch. But if you're completely new to translation/localization, we recommend starting with the free Introduction To Localization course.
Do you issue a certificate for completing the course?
We don't hand out certificates just for finishing the course — you earn it through our certification process.
After you complete the main course, you can choose to purchase certification for $100. That includes submitting a final assignment, and if you pass, you’ll get an official certificate to show off your skills (example).

Will I need to pay for any software?
You’ll be using Adobe Creative Cloud’s 7-day trial, which is free — but only if you haven’t used it before. If you’ve already used the trial, you’ll need to either sign up for another trial using a different card... or you'll need your own Adobe Creative Cloud license. One module also covers DTP in Microsoft Office, but it's not as important as Adobe CC for this course.
I have a Mac. Can I participate?
We primarily use Adobe Creative Cloud, which works on both Windows and Mac. One module covers DTP in Microsoft Office, so you'll need it on your Mac for that session. If you have it, you're all set!
Can my company pay for the course?
