Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Spanish to English Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI). The Medical Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and nuanced interpretation services during medical consultations and procedures. Day-to-day tasks include simultaneous interpretation, understanding and applying medical terminology, and translating medical documents. The interpreter must ensure clear and effective communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Medical Interpretation and Interpreting skills
- Proficient in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation
- In-depth understanding of Medical Terminology
- Excellent command of both Spanish and English languages
- Relevant certification or training in medical interpretation
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
