Your tasks:
- Develop and execute localization strategies to adapt automotive digital systems for different markets
- Manage and coordinate translation, transcreation, and linguistic validation across multiple languages and regions
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, software engineers, and product managers to ensure language integration aligns with user experience goals
- Oversee the work of external translation agencies, linguists, and localization vendors, ensuring quality and consistency
- Implement terminology management, glossaries, and style guides to maintain linguistic and brand consistency
- Conduct linguistic and functional testing of localized content within digital systems
- Monitor localization timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on time
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regional language requirements to optimize localization processes
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in localization, preferably in automotive, software, or technology industries
- Strong knowledge of localization tools and translation management systems (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Smartling, XTM, etc.)
- Experience working with UX/UI teams and understanding human-machine interface (HMI) design principles
- Good project management skills with the ability to handle multiple localization projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances, language-specific challenges, and regulatory requirements in different markets
- Fluency in English and Chinese
