Vendor Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Establishing strong and productive relationships with existing and new vendors and ensuring their requirements are being handled adequately.

• Executing vendor on boarding life cycle for all languages and for all industries.

• Communicate with vendor/translators.

• Developing short terms work plans and workflows, per language selling budget, managing resources.

• Creates and controls localization department outsourcing budgets, performs cost tracking analysis, ensures timely on-boarding process.

• Assigns monitors and measures linguist members’ work.

• Training junior staff through training and coaching opportunities and by creating methodologies, tools, and checklists to improve the vendor management process.

• Respond to any linguist & departmental issues.

• Obtains a quality check and feedback on all linguist performance.

• Managing onboarding vendor registration documentations.

• Acting as a bridge between linguists and the internal teams if necessary.

• Ensuring that the linguist and production team queries are addressed promptly.

• Devising strategies to approach prospects.

• Addressing different ways to retain linguists.

• Preparing RFP’s, NDA’s, Contracts etc. as part of vendor managers role.

• Hiring, interviewing, training and directing the regional linguistic teams.

• Attending and providing department related updates to the board of directors on weekly/monthly company meetings.

• Handling the regional office affairs as the department vendor manager.

• Drafting, pitching and submitting responses for RFP’s as far as Production department is concerned.

• Short stay and travelling for work and meetings.

• Providing technical and non-technical assistance to the production team.

• Hunting and communicating with linguists for all required languages and regions.

• Quality and background check for all vendors.

• Assigning tests, quality checking and approval/disapproval of vendors.

• Maintaining proper checklist, document filing and regular updates of company information.

• Any other relative tasks that may be assigned by the team head or company director.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a major in translation.

• 1-3 years of proven experience in the localization and translation industry, specifically in the Vendor Management field.

• Strong verbal and written command of English is a must.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• High organizational skills.

• Details oriented.

• Hard worker.

• Can work under stress and meet the deadlines.

Requirements:

• The job will be handled remotely / from home from 9 AM till 6 PM EST.

• Should be flexible in the working hours. The Vendor Manager would be requested to be available to assign / handle any urgent requests that might come up after working hours.

• Working days from Mondays through Fridays.

• Weekends on Saturdays and Sundays.
