Localization Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator supports the project management team in the running of projects and provides ad-hoc linguistic support, who works closely with global team of PMs and reports to a translation team manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support the running of all assigned projects.
  • Prepare equipment, documentation for project start.
  • Create progress projections based on approved schedule and raise resource concerns.
  • Ensure translation projects run as scheduled in according to instructions provided by Project Managers while achieving the highest possible level of quality.
  • Ensure that the translated text is amended according to client feedback as deemed necessary by the Project Managers.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communicate with client on operational problems in real time, actively proposing solutions where available.
  • Ensure that the attendance of the assigned staff is accounted for and the correct documentation and files are kept up to date.
  • Provide support to direct reports to ensure their working conditions are adequate and liaise with other departments to ensure capacity plans are in place.
  • Provide feedback on performance of the staff as required by Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in localization, localization QA or software QA .
  • Experience in the video games or media entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of business software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (memoQ is a plus).
  • Clear and effective English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrates proactivity.
  • Ability to develop new ways to improve operations and to create opportunities
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Keep a “can do” attitude and positive thinking.

Notes

  • It is an on-site position based in Taipei.
  • Current office is located at 4F, No. 25, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Songshan District, Taipei City. The office will relocate to Building F, Phase II, Nangang Software Park, Taipei City by the end of June, with a potential adjustment of two weeks earlier or later.
