Translation Vendor Manager

About the job:

TransPioneers is currently looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to join our team. This is a full-time in-house position, providing an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to contribute to our growth plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Active management of vendor database.
  •  Define appropriate test procedures for resource qualification, handle test translations, and other work samples.
  • Find and test new specialized vendors based on project needs.
  •  Anticipate and plan resource demand.
  •  Develop, track, and validate vendor KPIs.
  •  Evaluate and track vendor performance.
  •  Provide feedback to vendors and arbitrate.
  •   Negotiate rates.
  •  Liaise with accounts department on invoicing and payment status.
  •  Run vendor analysis, satisfaction surveys, and reporting.
  •  Compile and maintain vendor data and work documents.
  •   Act as an escalation point for vendors.
  •  Maintain vendor partnerships with a focus on vendor utilization, cost control, quality, and commitment to projects.
  • Follow developments in the industry and language professionals’ community: benchmarking.
  •  Liaise with local professional organizations and universities to promote talent management.

Job Requirements:

  •  +3 years’ experience in vendor management, working in translation and localization is essential.
  •   Excellent written and verbal English communication skills is a must.
  •  Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  •  Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  •   High sense of urgency.
  •  Experience in negotiating and persuasion.
  •  Strong interpersonal skills.
  •   Effective time management.
