Job Description:
As a Prooflistener, you will be responsible for reviewing voice-over recordings delivered by voice-over artists for our audio fiction series. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audio editing, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality audio content.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent command of the French language with attention to pronunciation and grammar.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect even minor issues in raw audio tracks.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Passion for storytelling, theatre and cinema
Responsibilities
The French Proofreader is responsible for:
- Cleaning the AI Generated localisation sheet which will enable AI localisation to be done smoothly.
- Ensuring linguistic accuracy, grammatical correctness, and consistency in French- language scripts.
- Checking for storyline consistency, character continuity, and localization accuracy.
- Identifying and correcting AI-generated errors, unnatural phrasing, and mistranslations.
- Maintaining compliance with Pocket FM’s style guidelines and storytelling standards.
- Collaborating with the content team and submitting feedback where necessary.

- Currently, pay rates for project work by French writing experts will earn an average of up to USD $30 per hour finished
