Objective of job
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented senior specialist in HMI and Language Testing & Coordination. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality localized translations within our in-car systems (Human Machine Interface – HMI), aligning with brand tone and user experience standards across different markets.
The ideal candidate will have experience in linguistic or translation fields, with a passion for quality and consistency, and the ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
The contract is limited to one year as it is a maternity cover.
Your Responsibilities
Lead EU Local Translation Review & Coordination:
- Coordinate local language review efforts with in-market stakeholders, translation vendors, and internal teams.
- Act as the central contact point in smart Europe for language and voice assistant testing and validation for in-car HMI systems.
- Manage the scheduling, communication, and alignment across regions during the review process.
- Support the localization workflow from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
Reporting, Analysis & Quality Control:
- Analyze language quality issues reported from local teams or identified during internal testing.
- Generate regular reports, share with HQ on language testing outcomes, including trends, common issues, and potential risks.
- Propose and implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance translation quality.
- Support testing activities related to HMI interfaces to ensure language and UI coherence.
What you bring along
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in localization, translation quality assurance, or related roles.
- Strong coordination and project management skills across cross-cultural teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with HMI systems or automotive user interfaces is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
