ROLE OVERVIEW

The Account Director role sits within our International Marketing Services department. This role will manage our client localization teams overseeing LAT AM & APAC services and will work closely with the localization team in London to service the UPI and PPI Head offices. This is a hands-on role, liaising with the client, leading the team, and ensuring that the department runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading a team of localization producers and coordinators to ensure materials are produced to a high standard and on time
  • Streamlining production workflows and processes, by working closely with the head of each department.
  • Serving as the escalation point for any production/client questions or issues.
  • Working with in-house graphic designers, audio technicians, and online editors to deliver international localized marketing materials (foreign language materials, a TV spot, or trailer and localizing it into several different languages) for the clients.
  • Working with the finishing department to produce and deliver final materials, managing the delivery process and file production and asset management
  • Downloading assets (i.e. OV masters, audio, GFX) from vendors/clients and making available company-wide on the sync
  • Sending detailed work orders to graphics designers, audio engineers, and online editors, including project-specific specs and details
  • QCing and overseeing revisions of produced files and delivering to client-approved proprietary platforms
  • Collaborating with the UK office to ensure all communication across all jobs is efficient and correct
  • Dealing directly with international territory offices regarding their orders and also with the studio head offices regarding campaign timelines, territory-specific requests, dubbing needs, et al
  • Building relationships with marketing and operations personnel within the territories
  • Collaborating with translators and dubbing studios to obtain translations and audio files
  • Helping to assess and triage competing deadlines across all territory requests in a given day/week, working with scheduling and the different departments to ensure high-priority items are always first up
  • Tracking all current orders on Smartsheet, and ensuring all documentation on project status is up to date daily
  • Training and mentoring new hires on the localization team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position
  • Proven localization account management experience within a post production, studio or creative agency
  • Proven ability to effectively build, organize, lead, and mentor a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • A track record of designing processes from the ground up to support changing business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Agility and ability to quickly pivot between changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to manage workflows in multiple locations across multiple time zones
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn and process information quickly

This position is based in our LA head office and the base pay range for this position is up to $100,000 per annum. Actual amounts will vary based on the candidates’ skills, experience, and performance.
