Summary
We are looking for a Localization Specialist with a strong technical background to focus on developing and customizing connectors and API integrations for client solutions. The Technical Localization Specialist will be responsible to design, implement, and tailor integrations to retrieve content for translation from websites, CMS platforms, and online repositories. The Localization Specialist will collaborate closely with clients’ technical teams to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions, as well as gather requirements to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Responsibilities
API Integration & Customization
- Develop, customize, and manage connectors for various platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, GitHub)
- Customize APIs to handle content updates and facilitate automated translation workflows.
- Work directly with clients’ technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper API functionality and integration within the client’s system.
- Monitor and troubleshoot custom connectors, plugins, and API integrations to ensure smooth performance
Client Relations & Technical Support
- Act as the primary technical liaison for clients regarding localization services.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (including developers and product managers) to ensure successful delivery of localization solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients in understanding and using custom integrations.
- Document technical requirements, specifications, and integration details for clients and internal teams.
Process Optimization & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve existing localization workflows and automate manual tasks, improving the delivery of content updates.
- Work with the Technology Solutions team to streamline workflows and enhance system integration capabilities.
- Ensure timely delivery of improvements and updates, managing client expectations and key milestones effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in localization, with a focus on technical solutions and API integration.
- Strong understanding of API design, custom connectors, and integration with CMS platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
- Experience with tools like RESTful APIs, SOAP, or similar web technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, efficient solutions.
- Familiarity with localization tools and workflows is a plus.
