Position: Amharic Language Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $40 – $95/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Translate, localize, and adapt content between Amharic and English.
- Edit and proofread written materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Perform dubbing and voice-over for multimedia and AI training datasets.
- Process and engineer audio recordings to ensure high-quality output.
- Collaborate with teams to support AI model training and language development.
- Annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine learning applications.
- Provide linguistic insights to improve workflows and language accuracy.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Amharic with strong English skills.
- Strong experience in translation, editing, and localization.
- Solid background in linguistics and language analysis.
- Proficiency with audio engineering tools and workflows.
- Experience in dubbing and voice-over work.
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
