Female-oriented games live and die by their emotional resonance. A mistranslated character voice, a tonal inconsistency in a romantic scene, or a culturally tone-deaf adaptation directly erodes player trust and community sentiment — especially in markets like Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, where ACGN fanbases are vocal and discerning.
We are looking for a Chinese-proficient Localization Project Management Executive to oversee and drive the end-to-end localization process for our game products. This is fundamentally a project management role operating within the localization domain. You will not be hands-on in production – instead, you will manage the people, vendors, and processes that make localization happen. You will act as the primary bridge between the IP Owner, the internal Functional Localization Team, and external production vendors – ensuring all parties are aligned, accountable, and delivering on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Communicate Product milestones, deadlines, and localization requirements to the Functional Team as the basis for production planning.
- Track and monitor delivery against agreed milestones, flag delays early, and escalate to the Product Manager when needed.
- Prepare and distribute meeting recaps, decisions, and action items to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate workforce requests with the Functional Team based on Product production needs, and track resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage across all localization workstreams.
Localization:
- Coordinate with the Functional Team to track script review progress, approvals, and delivery timelines against Product requirements.
- Coordinate feedback and approval between the Functional Team and IP Owner, ensuring all review outcomes are documented, communicated, and followed up.
- Maintain the glossary and translation memory database after every patch or content update.
- Track player sentiment on localization quality; compile weekly insight note for the Live Ops Lead.
- Oversee the VO production process by holding the Functional Team accountable for Audio Vendor / Agency ‘s delivery – track session schedules, deliverable timelines, and quality outcomes against agreed requirements.
Stakeholder & Bridge Management:
- Act as the primary bridge between the IP Owner and the Product team – ensuring expectations, feedback, and decisions are clearly communicated in both directions.
- Coordinate with the Functional Team to request and receive localization services, track delivery, and escalate capacity or quality issues when needed.
- Ensure external vendors operate in accordance with agreed SLAs by tracking compliance and flagging deviations to the Functional Team when needed.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration across teams.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in project management, coordination, or a related field.
- HSK6 and proficient in English in the workplace – able to communicate professionally in both written and spoken form.
- Strong project management skills: timeline management, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
- Comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments with varying levels of authority and decision-making power.
- Ability to influence without direct authority – drive results through clear communication, trust-building, and proactive coordination.
- Understanding of localization workflows – text and/or VO/audio production.
- Comfortable using AI tools to support daily work – including drafting communications, summarizing information, and improving workflow efficiency.
