We are looking for a hands-on Localization PM Team Lead who can manage projects directly while also leading, monitoring, and improving the performance of the PM team.
This is not a purely managerial role. We need someone who can jump into live projects, control delivery, support the team, improve workflows, and build practical KPIs that actually reflect performance — not just look good in a spreadsheet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage localization and translation projects from start to delivery
- Lead, guide, and support the Project Management team
- Monitor project progress, deadlines, quality risks, and team performance
- Improve internal PM workflows, handoff processes, and escalation paths
- Build and track KPIs for productivity, delivery, quality, responsiveness, and vendor performance
- Use localization tools, CAT tools, TMS platforms, spreadsheets, and PM tracking systems effectively
- Coordinate with clients, linguists, vendors, DTP teams, QA teams, and internal departments
- Identify operational gaps and propose practical, scalable solutions
- Support the team during urgent, complex, or high-volume projects
Requirements:
- Strong background in the localization / translation industry is a must
- Proven experience managing translation or localization projects hands-on
- Previous experience as Senior PM, PM Team Lead, or Operations Supervisor is preferred
- Good understanding of CAT tools, TMS workflows, vendor management, QA steps, and delivery cycles
- Ability to design processes, not just follow them
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working under pressure and handling escalations professionally
- Detail-oriented, organized, and commercially aware
