Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for an Interpreter at Linguasight. The Interpreter will provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation services for diverse clients across various industries. Daily responsibilities include facilitating verbal communication between parties, interpreting in real-time for meetings or events, and ensuring clarity and confidentiality throughout the process. The role may involve video, phone, or in-person interpretation depending on client needs.
Qualifications
- Fluency and proficiency in at least two languages, with strong oral and written communication skills in both
- Proven expertise in interpretation, active listening, cultural understanding, and real-time translation
- Attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and effective interpersonal skills
- Experience with remote interpretation technology and video conferencing tools
- Adaptability and the capacity to work under pressure in a variety of settings
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (e.g., legal, medical, technical) is a plus
- Relevant certifications in interpretation and a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethical practices, and continuous learning
