About the Role:

Ascendion is hiring experienced transcription QA Linguiststo support a large-scale multilingual audio transcription quality program. This position focuses on reviewing and validating transcription output that has already been generated, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project guidelines.

Note: We are looking for candidates who are native speakers of British or Australian English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and full professional proficiency.

Title: Transcription QA Linguist (Multilingual)

Location: Remote (United States)

Key Responsibilities

  • Review transcription output against source audio for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and correct transcription errors, including: Misheard words, Punctuation issues, Speaker labeling errors, Speaker labeling errors, Timestamp or segmentation inaccuracies
  • Apply light corrections to meet quality standards.
  • Flag files requiring extensive rework beyond standard QA scope.
  • Follow language-specific style guides, glossaries, and terminology standards.
  • Meet established productivity and quality metrics.
  • Communicate recurring quality trends, ambiguities, and edge cases to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in the assigned language.
  • Strong English proficiency for English-paired language roles.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Transcription, Translation, Captioning, Localization, Linguistic QA
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow style guides and formatting standards consistently.
  • Comfortable using transcription and QA tools (training available if needed).
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work environment.
  • For dual-language roles, fluency in both required languages.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $25000- $30000annually.  Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
