About The Role
We’re looking for Japanese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Japanese-language content. Your linguistic and cultural insight will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and communicates in Japanese — making a real impact on one of the world’s most nuanced and complex languages.

What You’ll Do
- Review AI-generated Japanese content for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness
- Identify issues related to tone, register, formality levels (keigo), idiomatic usage, and context
- Suggest culturally appropriate alternatives that resonate authentically with Japanese audiences
- Provide structured, clear feedback to improve overall localization quality
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Native or near-native fluency in Japanese with strong English communication skills
- Deep understanding of Japanese cultural norms, social context, and linguistic nuance
- Comfortable evaluating written language quality across a range of content types
- Detail-oriented with a consistent and systematic approach to feedback
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience in translation, localization, or content adaptation for Japanese audiences
- Familiarity with AI-generated content or language evaluation workflows
- Knowledge of regional Japanese language variations or specialized registers
