Remote-first, globally distributed, and obsessed with quality, we’re looking for detail-oriented QA minds to ensure every word we deliver is clean, accurate, and contextually perfect.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end quality assurance on ASR-generated transcripts and timed captions across multiple languages and dialects.
- Identify and document transcription errors—omissions, misrecognitions, punctuation, speaker labeling, and timing drift.
- Annotate, tag, and flag low-confidence segments for model retraining or human intervention.
- Collaborate with engineering and linguistics teams to refine ASR performance based on QA feedback loops.
- Maintain QA scorecards and KPI dashboards to track accuracy, turnaround time, and client-specific thresholds.
- Contribute to QA playbook development—defining edge cases, style guides, and domain-specific rules (legal, medical, technical).
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- ASR QA
- Transcription Quality Assurance
- Speech-to-Text Validation
- Timecode Alignment
- Audio-Text Synchronization
- Microsoft Excel (for QA reporting)
- Google Docs / Sheets (for collaborative annotation)
- Basic familiarity with media players (VLC, QuickTime, Auphonic)
Preferred
- Experience with Captioning Standards (CEA-608/708, SMPTE-TT)
- Linguistic or NLP background (especially phonetics or dialect mapping)
- Familiarity with ASR platforms (Whisper, Google Speech-to-Text, Azure Speech)
