Role: Brand Transcreator
Location: Istanbul (hybrid)
Employment: 12-month FTC
About the role:
As a Brand Transcreator, you’ll independently manage the translation and creative adaptation of above-the-line and below-the-line marketing materials from English into Turkish – across press, OOH, retail, digital, HR, and brand channels.
At this level, you’ll own your workload across multiple concurrent campaigns, maintain consistent quality standards, and serve as an informed point of contact for the client and wider team on localisation matters. You’ll bring both linguistic precision and creative instinct to every brief – ensuring global brand standards land with local cultural relevance.
What you will be doing:
- Transcreate and translate marketing materials from English into Turkish across print, OOH, retail, digital, HR, and brand channels – ensuring copy is accurate, on-brand, and culturally resonant
- Research and develop compelling copy that is on strategy, original, and meaningful for Turkish-speaking audiences
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and brand voice across all internal and external communications
- Work within a CAT tool environment – maintaining and updating translation memory, building glossaries, and proofreading and editing copy
- Assess neural machine translation (NMT) output and provide structured linguistic feedback to improve machine translation quality over time
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and communicating proactively with the LPM team on project status, priorities, and issues
- Build a thorough working knowledge of adidas’s tone of voice, brand identity, product categories, and campaign approach
- Act as a localisation ambassador in the local market — helping explain and embed the adidas/OLIVER model with stakeholders
- Maintain a responsive, visible presence within the adidas Istanbul office and integrate effectively into the local team
What you need to be great in this role:
- Professional proficiency in Turkish at native level, with an excellent command of English
- Demonstrable experience in translation, transcreation, copywriting, or content editing – ideally within a marketing or brand context
- Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality output consistently under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to linguistic accuracy and brand consistency
- Experience working with remote or internationally distributed teams
- Familiarity with CAT tools and machine translation workflows (desirable)
- Understanding of marketing, SEO, and digital content contexts (desirable)
- A proactive, solutions-focused working style with the ability to stay constructive under pressure
- Genuine curiosity about languages, cultures, and brand storytelling
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to language services and transcreation to enhance output quality and efficiency
- Experience building personal AI-assisted workflows to improve consistency and productivity
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated translations and apply human judgement – particularly when assessing NMT output for linguistic accuracy and brand fit
- Agentic approach to managing multi-campaign workloads: breaking complex tasks into clear steps and identifying efficient paths forward
