Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic new business sales team in the localization industry. As a BDM, your primary focus will be to drive new business opportunities and expand our client base. You will be supported by a dedicated lead generation team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve growth targets. To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in sales with minimum 5 years experience. Knowledge of the the localization industry desirable but not essential. The salary for this role is £50,000.
Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the localization industry by proactively prospecting and engaging potential clients.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets, aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Consultative Selling: Utilise consultative selling techniques to understand client requirements, provide expert advice on localization solutions, and present compelling proposals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for business expansion.
- Lead Generation Support: Collaborate with the lead generation team to drive high-quality leads and ensure a consistent pipeline of opportunities for conversion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery of services.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system. Generate regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Ability to develop in-depth understanding of the localization industry, including localization processes, technologies, and trends. Familiarity with translation, localization, interpreting, and related services is highly desirable.
- Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen with a consultative and solution-oriented approach. Ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships, understand client needs, and effectively communicate the value proposition of localization solutions.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Results-Driven: Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging presentations, negotiate contracts, and influence decision-makers.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify market opportunities, analyse client data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce), sales automation tools, and other technology platforms used in sales and business development.
