Cultural Content Reviewer (AI Training)
About The Role
AI systems are only as culturally aware as the humans who help train them. We’re looking for Cultural Content Reviewers from all corners of the world to help ensure AI-generated content feels authentic, appropriate, and respectful to the people it’s meant to serve.
You don’t need a degree in cultural studies. You just need to know your culture — the customs, values, humor, sensitivities, and nuances that only someone who has lived it would truly understand.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to people from any background and any region.

What You’ll Do
- Review AI-generated content for cultural accuracy, sensitivity, and relevance to your region
- Flag content that is inappropriate, outdated, stereotyping, or likely to cause offense
- Provide regional context and suggest culturally resonant alternatives
- Evaluate whether translations and localizations feel natural and authentic to native audiences
- Assess content across formats including text, images, and AI recommendations
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Deep, firsthand familiarity with the culture, customs, and social norms of your region
- Able to spot cultural blind spots and issues that an outsider would likely miss
- Strong written communication skills — you can clearly explain why something does or doesn’t land
- Thoughtful, open-minded, and thorough in your evaluations
- Consistent and reliable in meeting task guidelines
- No academic cultural studies background required — lived experience is what matters
Nice to Have
- Experience in localization, translation, journalism, or content moderation
- Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation workflows
- Multilingual skills or awareness of regional dialect and cultural variation
