English to Sinhala Translator (Vice Versa)
We are looking to hire translators with excellent grasp on Sinhala and English. This will be a full time remote position and is only open for linguists and translators with strong focus on translation and languages with atleast 3+ years of Industry Experience.
Qualifications
- Native proficiency in Sinhala and English with excellent written communication skills in both languages.
- Minimum 3+ years of professional translation experience in media, entertainment, localization, subtitling, dubbing, publishing, or related language services.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances, idioms, colloquialisms, and regional variations to ensure natural and contextually accurate translations.
- Experience translating content such as videos, films, TV shows, educational content, podcasts, YouTube content, or digital media is highly preferred.
- Ability to maintain consistency in terminology, tone, style, and brand voice across projects.
- Familiarity with subtitling, dubbing adaptation, script translation, or localization workflows is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading and quality assurance skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines consistently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Literature, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience with CAT tools, localization platforms, or AI-assisted translation workflows is an added advantage.
What you’ll do at Dubpro
- Translate content between English ↔ Sinhala while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural relevance.
- Adapt content for dubbing, voice-over, and localization requirements when needed.
- Review, edit, and proofread translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy and natural readability.
- Collaborate with our language operations and quality teams to maintain high translation standards.
- Contribute to large-scale multilingual dubbing and localization projects for leading media and content creators.
