Job Summary: In this role, you will bring your deep knowledge of the Gã language and culture to support the training of advanced AI systems. Your contributions will help machines better understand authentic, nuanced human language. No prior experience in AI or tech is needed — your fluency and linguistic awareness are the core requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe spoken Gã content from audio and video sources with precision, including accurate time markers throughout.
- Identify and articulate the emotional register, intent, and tone expressed by speakers in recorded content.
- Examine and document grammatical rules, syntactic patterns, and language structures found in Gã and English materials.
- Explain the meaning, cultural context, and appropriate usage of specialized or culturally embedded vocabulary.
- Assist with a variety of linguistic tasks such as data tagging, semantic analysis, and language quality evaluation.
- Uphold a high level of accuracy and consistency in all outputs, following established quality benchmarks.
- Commit to working at least 15 hours weekly, reliably delivering completed work within agreed timelines.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Fluent in both Gã and English, with the ability to navigate naturally between the two languages.
- Clear and effective communicator with strong written skills and sensitivity to tone, meaning, and cultural context.
- Practical experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistic data work of any kind.
- Capable of identifying and documenting phonological, grammatical, and contextual features in spoken or written Gã.
- Able to present complex language concepts in an accessible way to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage workload independently without close oversight.
- Able to work effectively in a fully remote environment with minimal technical barriers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work in language annotation, content localization, or multilingual data projects.
- Educational or professional background in linguistics, particularly within West African or Kwa language families.
- Some familiarity with speech recognition, natural language processing, or AI language tools is advantageous.
