Role Description The Greek Transcriptionist & Quality Check Specialist (Remote) is a full-time role focused on producing and validating high-quality Greek language transcripts for a variety of audio and video content. Day-to-day responsibilities include listening to recordings, accurately transcribing spoken Greek into written form, and applying style guidelines, formatting rules, and client-specific instructions. The role also involves performing detailed quality checks on transcripts, identifying and correcting errors, ensuring consistency, and verifying compliance with project standards. The specialist will collaborate with project managers and other language professionals, meet defined turnaround times, and use online tools and platforms to manage workflow in a fully remote environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Greek language proficiency, including excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with the ability to understand different accents and dialects.
- Demonstrated experience in transcription or related language services, with the ability to accurately capture spoken content and follow style guides.
- Proven attention to detail and quality assurance skills, including reviewing, editing, and verifying transcripts for accuracy and consistency.
- Solid computer literacy and comfort with digital tools, such as transcription software, online collaboration platforms, and cloud-based workflow systems.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote setting.
- Professional communication skills for coordinating with project teams, providing feedback, and clarifying requirements when needed.
- Previous experience in localization, media, or AI data services is an advantage, as well as familiarity with confidentiality and data protection practices.
- Relevant education or training in linguistics, translation, communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for highly skilled candidates.
