Salary: £26,000–£32,000 depending on experience, plus team bonus (full-time equivalent)

Full-time or part-time considered with a minimum of 3 days per week.

At Comtec, we’re looking for a Lead Generation Executive to help us create new opportunities and support the next stage of our growth.

This role would suit someone with around 1-2 years’ experience in lead generation, sales, customer success, account management or another commercial role where proactive communication, relationship-building and creating opportunities have been a key part of the job.

Comtec is a family-owned, B Corp-certified localisation agency.

For more than 40 years we’ve helped organisations communicate effectively across global markets through translation, localisation and multilingual content services.

More recently, we’ve transformed the way we work through our own AI-enabled translation technology. It has helped us win back clients, deliver new services and most recently earn the National Digital Award for Best Use of AI in an Agency.

Now we’re looking to build on that success and accelerate our growth.

How does the role work?

Your role will be to help us identify and create new commercial opportunities.

You’ll be responsible for researching prospects, reaching out to potential clients, following up leads generated through marketing activity and booking meetings for our commercial team.

You’ll play a key role in helping us become more proactive commercially and ensuring opportunities don’t fall through the cracks.

You won’t be responsible for writing proposals, negotiating contracts or closing deals. You’ll work closely with our experienced commercial team, who will take opportunities forward once they have been qualified.

The role & responsibilities

  • Research target companies and identify relevant decision-makers
  • Build prospect lists and maintain prospect data
  • Reach out to potential clients by phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Follow up leads generated through webinars, email campaigns and marketing activity
  • Qualify opportunities by asking thoughtful questions
  • Book discovery meetings for the commercial team
  • Re-engage dormant and lower-spend clients
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
  • Help ensure opportunities continue moving forward

What we’re looking for in you

We are looking for someone who is bright, proactive and commercially curious.

You don’t need years of experience behind you, but you should already have some experience in a commercial role.

Most importantly, you’ll bring:

  • Confidence speaking to people you don’t know yet
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A genuine curiosity about people and businesses
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • The initiative to get on with things rather than waiting to be told
  • Good organisation and follow-through
  • The resilience to keep going when conversations take time to develop
  • A willingness to learn, be coached and develop your skills

Helpful, but not essential

None of the following is essential, but any of it would count in your favour:

  • Experience in lead generation, business development or outbound sales
  • A second language or an interest in languages and international business
  • A degree in languages, business, marketing or communications
  • Experience in a B2B business environment
  • Experience using LinkedIn, CRM systems or sales engagement tools

Where you’ll be based

This is a hybrid role and we’d ideally like the successful candidate to spend part of the working week in our Leamington Spa office as collaboration, coaching and learning from the wider commercial team will be important parts of the role.
