🎯 What You’re Goanna Do
1. Vendor Sourcing & Recruitment
- Source, evaluate, and onboard qualified language service providers and freelancers.
- Maintain a scalable vendor pipeline across all required languages and services.
- Conduct vendor qualification and capability assessments.
2. Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Monitor vendor availability, capacity, and engagement.
- Address vendor issues and support long-term retention.
3. Performance Management
- Monitor vendor performance against quality, delivery, responsiveness, and productivity KPIs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans where required.
- Recommend suspension or removal of underperforming vendors.
4. Capacity & Resource Planning
- Forecast vendor capacity requirements based on business demand.
- Ensure adequate coverage for all languages, specializations, and service lines.
- Proactively identify and address resource gaps.
5. Commercial Management
- Negotiate competitive vendor rates and service terms.
- Support cost optimisation while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain approved vendor pricing and contracts.
6. Database & Compliance
- Maintain accurate vendor records, qualifications, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, confidentiality agreements, and applicable ISO standards.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Project Management, Quality, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure effective vendor support and service delivery.
- Resolve vendor-related operational and quality issues promptly.
8. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve vendor management processes, reporting, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years in Vendor Management within the Language Services, Localization, Translation, or BPO industry.
- Proven experience managing international freelance supplier networks.
- Experience recruiting multilingual language professionals.
- Experience negotiating vendor agreements and pricing.
- Knowledge of ISO 17100 is preferred.
