Location:

You will have the opportunity to work in Bentonville, AR, one of three locations where we have a team presence.

Where you’ll help:

As a Bilingual Spanish Translation Manager on the Driver Experience Team, you’ll lead the Spanish localization workstream for the Spark Driver platform. You’ll work closely with the Communication, Creative, and Technical content team to support UX designers, product managers, and operations teams in translating English-written content into Spanish supporting various initiatives, including gig-driver-facing content, videos, and communications. This role requires Spanish fluency, enthusiasm for creating delightful user experiences, a desire to dig deep and assess processes, and the ability to write to users in a casual, helpful way.

The team you’ll get to join:

On the Driver Experience team, we’re focused on creating an intuitive gig-driver experience that just works. One that is built through the lens of agent success which fosters trust and transparency, nurtures driver retention, and enables a differentiated support experience – empowering us to become a low-cost delivery partner and platform of choice for gig drivers everywhere.

The Driver Experience team views the optimizable contact rate as a defect and is focused on the reduction of contact rate as our primary OKR. We do so by holistically analyzing the experience across every phase of the driver journey and collaborating with product and engineering to enhance existing platform experiences, reduce high-friction pain points, and eliminate working-as-designed defects. In a lot of ways, we function like a startup, meaning you’ll leverage cross-functional leadership, a collaborative mindset (understanding the impact your suggestions have on other teams’ goals and OKRs), and a full range of product thinking and customer experience/operational strategist skills across all organizations

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Translating English copy to Spanish, ensuring the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible. Writing copy and microcopy that engages, informs, and guides users.
  • Interacting with stakeholder teams to understand user personas, processes/workflows, and what users need to be successful.
  • Building strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, Research, Engineering, Operations, and Legal.
  • Participating in communications, and creative and technical content team prioritization meetings to assess content requirements, deliverables, and deadlines. Participating in planning meetings, estimating content translation timelines, and providing status updates on progress.
  • Ensuring clarity, accuracy, correct grammar, consistency, and style guidelines for written copy.

Minimum Experience & Skills:

  • A bilingual English and Spanish language speaker (fluent in both written and verbal communication).
  • Flexibility and adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and shifting priorities is crucial, given the fast-paced nature of our work and industry, and can thrive with autonomy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Creative Writing, or related field OR 3+ years’ experience in UX writing or copywriting.
  • Portfolio of writing samples and style guidelines.

You will blow us away if you also:

  • Have experience wiring UX content, with expertise in crafting strong calls to action, or an eagerness to learn about UX.
  • Can meet challenging deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Are incredibly detail-oriented but can also think of the big picture and strategy.
  • Have experience using Figma.
  • Understand how content can make or break the user experience.
  • Have previous experience working in the gig industry.
