Regional Marketing Specialist (Part Time / Freelance 24 hours per week)

Regional Marketing Specialist – APAC

At Phrase, we help open the door to global business by providing the worldʼs most comprehensive localization platform.

We’re transforming language technology with our AI platform to give people the content they need, in the language they speak. Whether it’s for digital products like an app or website, marketing comms, legal literature, internal comms or customer service messaging, Phrase ensures that content always hits its mark by being on brand, consistent, and culturally resonant.

With a global team working from our offices in Hamburg and Prague—or from home across Europe, the UK, the US, and the APAC region—we help organizations like Uber, Shopify, Puma, Snowflake, Volkswagen and thousands of others engage their customers at scale to accelerate growth.

Overview of the Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist based in Tokyo who is fluent in Japanese and English (Korean is a strong plus) to join our APAC team. • Planning and supporting online/offline events and trade shows in Japan (3–4 annually)
  • Providing event logistics and on-site support, including booth setup, vendor coordination, and materials preparation

What you need:

  • Native-level Japanese and fluent English (Korean language skills are a strong plus)
  • 2-3 years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • Proven experience in Japanese copywriting, content editing, and localization
  • Ability to adapt English content for the Japanese market with cultural nuance
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects with marketing and localization teams
  • Strong organizational skills for managing campaign logistics and event support
  • Familiarity with Japanese digital channels and social media platforms
  • Hands-on experience with regional ad platforms such as Google Japan and Facebook Japan

Our current tech stack in this role:

What you’ll get:

  • Work experience in a successful and growing global SaaS company
