As a Senior Localization Program Manager on BetterUp’s Product team, you will focus on localization of our platform, in-app learning resources, and content (articles, video, etc.). You are passionate about nuances in language and culture across the world, and you are driven by a deep commitment to provide accessible, delightful, and effective experiences to BetterUp’s global community of users, coaches, and partners. You will work closely with all members of the team and cross-functionally to be the thought leader and driver of how we evolve and enhance localization of multimedia content and experiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the localization lifecycle for all BetterUp products (platform UI, original content, website, and related assets, etc.) from inception to launch, including scoping, production, delivery, testing, budget management, and user feedback.
  • Develop localization workflows while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. engineering, product, vendors) to improve and automate these processes.
  • Ensure that all new content/features and changes to existing content/features are localized on a dynamic basis, in all relevant languages.
  • Manage localization vendor relationships, including holding quarterly business reviews and monitoring on-time delivery stats and quality metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to align on project requirements for new product and content launches, providing regular feedback, and removing roadblocks to deliver excellent user experience globally.
  • Inspire cross-functional teams around the value of localization by advocating for best practices, raising awareness of processes, timelines, and impact—while championing the voices of global users.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineering teams to deliver culturally relevant and accurately localized AI-driven user experiences.
  • Lead the development of linguistic quality strategies and metrics to ensure high-quality experiences across localized products and related assets.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Linguistics, Translations, Language Studies or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in client-side localization roles such as project manager, program manager, or producer.
  • Extensive experience working and with translation/transadaptation vendors to execute end-to-end localization of content, multimedia, mobile-apps, and websites in regions across the world.
  • Experience working with Translation Management Systems (like Lokalise) and integrations to manage and streamline localization pipelines.
  • Forward-thinking approach to enabling AI experiences in multiple languages, bridging technology and global user expectations.
  • Highly organized and strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and make decisions with bias towards action, preferably in a high growth startup environment.
  • Builder mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and lead large scale cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experiencing working with and managing localization workflows in content management systems (like Contentful).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – must have both a curiosity and the skills to analyze and make meaning out of data and translate data into action.
  • Passion for learning science, coaching, positive psychology, and/or human thriving.
  • Fluency in a non-English language, ideally Mandarin. Spanish and French are also a plus.
