The Role:
The Senior Localisation Project Manager will work closely with the client Marcom team and has day-to-day contact with the client’s XF Project Managers and Hogarth PMs, to deliver end-to-end localisation of marketing projects and to ensure that the production is completed and delivered on time, to scope, with the highest quality and in the most efficient way.
Key Success factors:
- Be a great communicator with other cross-functional teams of project managers to ensure work is delivered on time, on quality and within budget.
- Understanding of Localisation and Language processes
- Constant need to communicate and negotiate priorities and deadlines with internal and external teams to ensure expectations are well managed.
- Able to perform as a team player and also independently run smaller launches.
- Primary tasks include organizing and coordinating schedules, distributing workload to translators and validation team, tracking progress of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closely support the Loc PM Lead in overall team management, campaign launch, help drive pilots and language initiatives such as efficiency tools and processes.
- Able to independently lead campaign launches, which includes budget management, resource / plan / manage the entire LOC team (Loc PM, linguists, translators) from start to final delivery, liaise with XF team leads and client PM to monitor overall campaign process.
- Build strong client and team relationships.
- Manage the day-to-day localization workflow, including assigning and trafficking projects to a network of linguists, and collaborate closely with Hogarth internal production teams to help complete the build stage of localization assets.
- Ability to mentor and guide a team of Loc PMs and Loc Executives.
- Manage relationship with external vendors, such as translation agencies and freelancers.
- Collaborate with all functions and support overall project management including headlines, print assets, interactive, video and advertising assets.
- Closely monitor and validate timelines and manage client’s and internal Hogarth functions’ expectations
- Organize and participate in weekly check-ins with Hogarth PMs.
- Ensure project trackers are always kept up-to-date and assist with collecting actuals or with replying to the client’s project or scope queries
- Maintain and manage client owned project management tool
- Monitor internal workflows and identify areas for improvement
- Assist with tracking the scope progress and flag important scope of work fluctuations to line manager or Client Producers.
- Build successful relationships with internal stakeholders (Studio, production teams, Senior Management, Operations)
- Assist linguists with any day-to-day questions incl. tools troubleshooting if necessary
- Immerse yourself in the client’s brand and offering, act as a brand QC/Guardian – always ensure brand guidelines, QC checklists and procedures are followed
- Ensure the account consistently delivers against all contractual obligations including SLAs and KPIs
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Hogarth business model, services and technology
- Resolve and/or escalate issues swiftly
- Identify bottlenecks, work with the Localization Team Lead to resolve them.
Requirements:
- 6- 8 years of significant agency experience gained working on global Marketing accounts, ideally with a Language, translation or transcreation background. Localization experience is a must.
- Demonstrate expertise in the delivery of projects through management of client expectations, internal processes and department involvement
- Demonstrable experience in managing large scale, complex and multi-market projects
- First experience in team leading/team management
- Proficient with technology and tools, including CAT tools, but also project management and CMS tools
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in high-pressure situations and tight time frames
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking ability and passion for the work are essential
- A hands-on, can-do approach to solving problems
- The ability to prioritize and work quickly and efficiently within very tight timeframes
- Demonstrate clear thinking under pressure
- Must be able to work onsite on a project location several times a year for extended hours
