Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
- Proficiency in at least two languages, including English.
- Strong knowledge of technical terminology in relevant fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience translating technical materials preferred
Duties
- Document Translation: Translate specialized documents such as OMGP reports, Engineering documents including 2. Technical documents, manuals, and software interfaces. Ensure accuracy and consistency of terminology.
- Proofreading & QA: Review and edit translations for grammar, accuracy, and technical exactness to ensure strict compliance with local regulations and client style guides
- Interpretation: Act as a bilingual liaison during business meetings, negotiations, or on-site inspections for departmental managers and subject matter experts to clarify technical concepts
- Edit and proofread translations for quality assurance. Maintain and update translation memory and terminology databases.
- Meet project deadlines and manage multiple assignments. Research industry-specific terminology as needed.
