Malta | Hybrid | Full-time

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who brings expertise, initiative and enthusiasm to a team that values collaboration and fresh ideas.

Join EHLION and take ownership of international projects, work with modern translation technologies, MTPE and AI-assisted workflows, and take responsibility for quality from planning through to final delivery.

About EHLION

EHLION is an established international provider of translation and language services, certified to ISO 17100, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001. We combine linguistic expertise, modern technology and structured quality processes to support international clients across a wide range of industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Independently manage translation and localisation projects from initial enquiry, file analysis and quotation through to final delivery.
  • Assess source files, reference materials and technical requirements, and plan appropriate production workflows, including traditional translation, MTPE and AI-assisted processes.
  • Select, qualify and brief linguists and reviewers, identify and qualify new language professionals, coordinate assignments and monitor performance.
  • Manage quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, including automated QA checks, linguistic review, terminology consistency, technical and file verification, and corrective action to resolve quality issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, provide professional advice, manage expectations, follow up on quotations and deliveries, and identify opportunities for additional business.
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate potential risks and take appropriate action to ensure deadlines, quality requirements and budgets are met.
  • Manage project finances, including quotations, budgeting, cost control and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate project records, translation resources and documentation, and actively contribute to improving workflows and processes.

Experience and skills

  • Experience in translation or localisation project management, preferably within a language service provider.
  • Knowledge of translation production workflows, CAT tools, translation management systems and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and demanding deadlines independently.
  • Commercial awareness, attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Initiative, reliability, sound judgement and a genuine interest in technology.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages, particularly German, are an advantage.

Particularly welcome: Practical experience with MTPE, machine translation and AI-assisted language workflows.

At EHLION, we work with XTM, memoQ and Across, alongside Plunet Business Manager. Experience with these or comparable systems is valuable, although knowledge of every platform is not expected.
