Role Description The Translation Project Manager (MTP, DTP & Delivery Management) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end translation projects from intake to delivery. Day-to-day tasks include scoping project requirements, coordinating machine translation post-editing (MTP) workflows, and managing desktop publishing (DTP) for complex document formats. The role involves assigning tasks to language specialists, monitoring timelines, and ensuring that output meets quality and accuracy standards. The Translation Project Manager will interact with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations while optimizing internal processes for efficiency. This role also includes maintaining documentation, tracking project metrics, and collaborating with product and technical teams to enhance the platform’s translation workflows.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, coordination, scheduling, and risk management for multiple concurrent translation projects.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication and Customer Service skills to manage client interactions, gather requirements, provide status updates, and resolve issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess Translation-related expertise, with familiarity in machine translation post-editing (MTP), multilingual workflows, and working across diverse language pairs.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance skills, including attention to detail, the ability to review translated and formatted content, and adherence to style, accuracy, and compliance standards.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in localization or translation project management, knowledge of DTP tools (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, or similar), and comfort working with scanned and complex document formats.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, communications, or a related field; experience with CAT tools and TMS platforms; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
