During the initial construction phase and subsequent operations of the South African factory, participate in communication between the Chinese and South African sides regarding factory setup, construction, and personnel recruitment.
About the Role
During the factory’s operational phase, be responsible for coordinating comprehensive tasks between the Chinese and South African sides, including production operations, production coordination, reporting, meeting interpretation, material coordination, and workshop support.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate language communication between the company and local South African employees, suppliers, and partners to ensure accurate and error-free information transmission.
- Provide Chinese-English interpretation and translation services, including for meetings, training sessions, and documents.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication to promote smooth collaboration between internal departments and the South African team.
- Participate in project coordination and support management in handling various matters involving language communication.
- Promptly organize and archive translated documents to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of materials.
- Assist in organizing and arranging language-related training activities as needed.
- After the start-up phase, during the operational phase, be responsible for communication and coordination between China and Africa, and collaborate on comprehensive tasks with the Production Department, including administrative support, reporting, meeting interpretation, material coordination, and shop floor assistance.
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in a language-related field; must possess fluent bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English.
- Proficient in Chinese, English, Zulu, and other local languages; must possess excellent interpretation and translation skills and be able to convert and communicate relevant language materials.
- Candidates with a background in industrial manufacturing or related industries, as well as those with experience in establishing factories in South Africa, will be given priority; must be able to understand technical terminology.
- Must possess strong communication and coordination skills, a team-oriented spirit, and the ability to adapt to a cross-cultural work environment.
- Must be meticulous, conscientious, highly responsible, and able to work well under pressure.
- Candidates with relevant translation work experience will be given priority.
