We’re looking for someone who knows the UK market inside out and wants to put that expertise to work. AI handles the volume. You handle everything that needs a real understanding of British consumers, platforms, and expectations.
The role
The Local Market Specialist is the go-to UK expert on the team. You’ll make sure client content, customer communication, and AI flows are accurate, natural, and right for the UK market, the kind of detail that’s easy to miss unless you actually know the market. You’ll report to the Market Lead and work closely with Client Specialists across the team.
This isn’t a solo role. Client deliverables are a shared team responsibility, and you’ll jump into day-to-day customer service alongside the rest of the team too.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Being the team’s expert on the UK market: consumer behaviour, e-commerce norms, language nuances, trust marks, returns expectations, and regulatory requirements, and flagging changes that affect client setups
- Supporting Client Specialists and Senior Client Specialists with UK-specific input during onboarding, webshop reviews, and client consultations
- Reviewing and quality-checking AI responses, shop manuals, and customer communication for UK accuracy and tone
- Handling escalated customer cases where deep local knowledge or native-level English really matters
- Improving client-facing content (AI flows, FAQs, templates) for local accuracy, and helping set up and maintain AI workflows where UK knowledge is needed
- Acting as the internal voice of the UK market when the team makes decisions that affect how clients operate there
- Taking part in the day-to-day customer service work at the same level as E-commerce Assistants
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in e-commerce, customer service, or a market-facing role in the UK market
- Native-level English, written and spoken
- Deep knowledge of the UK market: consumer habits, platforms, cultural norms, and language register
- A collaborative mindset, you’re comfortable supporting others rather than working solo
- Proactive about sharing knowledge and flagging relevant market developments
- Structured and thorough when reviewing content and communication
- Familiarity with AI customer service tools is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
