Wolof Study Manager

Job Summary
The study manager [internal title: Division Manager] will be responsible for successful project completion pertaining to a study that focuses on improving technology in one of various underrepresented languages. Study participants will help evaluate how well their language functions on determined devices. Their submissions and feedback will help with the inclusion of their language in future devices and technological developments.
Responsibilities
- Provide orientation for incoming study participants
- Provide guidance on project instructions
- Ensure participants submissions meet project standards
- Ensure project progress is in line with timelines and project deadline
- Translate the English instructions to the worker’s native language and ensure the workers can understand and follow the instructions appropriately
- The bilingual speaker will also translate the worker’s feedback response in their native language to English
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team goals and evolving project needs
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak in the language associated with the study
- Ability to read and write in English, a test will be required
- Posses a mid-to-high-end Android device (i.e. Pixel 6+, Samsung S21+, etc.)
- Minimum Android version: 12
Compensation
- Compensation for this project will be based on a per unit system, see below for more details
- $15 per participant who successfully completes the study
- Payment method: Grey or Tremendous payment platforms, dependent on geographic location
- Additional activities may be required throughout the project, based on client needs
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team goals and evolving project needs
Please note that the pay rate is in US dollars and payment will be made in US dollars. The amount received in local currency will vary according to exchange rates.
