Transifex is “a localization platform that moves as fast as you do”. In this video, you’ll see my first experience with the localization tool. How did it go?
I’ve documented my whole journey with Transifex from the first home page visit, through creating a project, to downloading the translated files in German, Czech and Japanese.

Hi, everyone, this is Andrej. Welcome back. Finally, we made it to another episode of the TMS UX series sorry that I missed last week, I really just tried different TMS tools. And there was always some problem, either they had no free trial account or something wasn’t working, or it wasn’t that simple to use it. Now finally, we have Transifex. So in this video, that’s what you’re going to get. For those of you who are new to the series. Like I mentioned in the beginning, I basically document my whole journey using tools like Transifex for the very first time and I provide commentary on what I think about the design, the style, the user experience is intuitive, easy to not intuitive, and so on. Before we get into the review, let me make a quick disclaimer. Everything that I say here is just my personal opinion. And like I mentioned, I mostly focus on the UX, the design, the colors, the style, and so on, is it intuitive for me for this person. So it doesn’t mean that you have to go through the same thing, but probably, you know, if you try it out for the first time, you might face the same issues, or the same excitement that I faced. By no means is this American minister where this tool is right for you or not, you know people have different needs. And I’m definitely not covering all the different features that the TMS has.

So with that being said, let’s get right into the review of Transifex. 123456 Transifex Sony? Transifex. I think I already tried Transifex now. Try this one. Oh, try for free. Oh, oh. I guess we’re lucky. I never tried Transifex coho. So try for free. We have it right there. Um, let’s go. Let’s go. Okay, I guess we’re doing review. Alright, alright. Alright. Um, well, first thing is that I am a little bit overwhelmed by in the right side the images for different Yeah, the right side is too noisy for me. Color wise, the only thing that I don’t like here is this thing here. That the online guide, but maybe it’s D saturated on purpose. I’m saying it right, the saturated. Like the contrast. I think I think it’s actually a purpose, right? I’m stupid. Well, the big contrast here is of course the white things which are weird because the things in the in the in the images like like on the iPad or here on the phone are very low contrast against the the image of the art aware.

So I’m not sure if this is just actually the thing that I’m seeing here is Atlassian. So does it mean yes, Atlassian is their customer. But I really don’t understand what these images are supposed to represent how otherwise are we actually is a TMS orchestration platform that moves as fast as you do agile, open continuously localized, cloud based translation management for the industry’s fastest moving companies. Nice. Nice nice nice nice nice huh? Hmm, okay, I’ll remove this chat bot thing to me, I just I don’t know. I don’t know. Like I just don’t like this. Why think? Like it’s just y thing but on the Y thing, there’s nothing of substance like this one. That SoundCloud Right, yeah. SoundCloud and then you just slow it like some great things like you really need to have good eyes to see something there like it’s a sound wave and play button. I don’t know why they need to show with here.

Like something that looks like the the. Is this supposed to be like, okay, like we localize to upset for Atlassian and SoundCloud and then this thing I don’t know what this thing? Is that information technically here? Or does the platform like work on the website like on the website? I think one of the TMS is TMS that I checked before because their role that I think it was easylink. It’s called translation proxy. And that I stopped doing it because it’s another real PMS. Okay, otherwise, I don’t know if it’s because it’s too late and pm The only thing that I don’t like is this thing here. I like the color. But I get I assume that I the reason why it’s not so shiny, it’s because it’s supposed to be less important that of course the try for free. Wondering if they use any different color. No, and I don’t.

I mean, the contrast is still still pretty, still pretty good. Right? Against the dark blue, blue and blue. It’s a good combination. Okay, what else do we have, like this thing to me on the right side is like, annoying. Then the next thing that I was thinking that maybe the logo the size of the logo, and maybe also the submitted to the menu. It’s sort of sort of the same. But I guess it’s good compared to STM. Who those guys are super obsessed with their logos. So this is much more acceptable for me. Okay, um, so we have this because this robot from blah, blah, blah, for free. Okay, let’s move on. So much white reminds me of my website, cadenas process that I could completely leave on autopilot.

You I don’t know if it’s on purpose. But this this, like a user review or testimonial, because it’s white. It really blends in with this section, the white one, and the shadow is not that strong for it to stand out. I think if it had more shadow, it would really like pop out a little bit more. And it wouldn’t look like it’s like just like, you know what I mean? Or maybe that was the purpose. I don’t know. Though, right? Okay. Cloud based lightning fast. This is fine. This is fine. Here we have some What is this mock up Trello nice. Teams are close. Okay, it just looks nice and open connected platform integrates with your development process. Oh please let me upload my stupid files. instead of forcing you into an all in one molds us with agencies translators are going across sort of traditional we never lock in nice and rich. Okay.

I mean, so far, it’s pretty clean these sections, and then you use a geolocalization this is still using the same colors. Just laters bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla the verb translate deploy nice for everyone, like position managers, like managers, marketers, developers, for every type of projects, what are your triclinic website blah, blah, blah. subtitle subtitles well every time a project so it should work on my simple project have two office files, or like this section as well. So mostly blue primary color and rest is white and grayish.

This here looks good. Everything looks good. The only thing that bothers me in the UI is the fact that I cannot remove this, this top bar about subscribing. And I’m also just wondering how it would look like if it was with instead of boxed. But otherwise a very, very good experience. And like I mentioned, maybe I will cut this out. But when I was copying the translations, because I would need a commercial empty API to be able to pull in empty translations. Even the copy pasting on its own was very, very smoked. So yep, pretty much great experience. Great, great, great. And that’s the end of the video, my friends that was transfixed for you.
