What is internationalization or I18N. Let’s take Dishonoured as an example. In Dishonored, you have this beautiful ability called Blink, it’s one of the first ones you can get, it’s essential. And in my opinion, it makes the game far, far easier than if you didn’t have Blink. Without blink, you’d have to do a more sneakier approach. Maybe you would get into more fights, it would be difficult to get into some locations. But with Blink, everything is easier. And essentially, that is what internationalization does for you. It makes something easier. Now if we’re speaking practically about localization with internationalization does, it actually makes localization easier. So what it means is internationalization can make it easy for the strings to get into the translation, it makes it easier to add new fonts, add more support for new languages, add different payment methods and so on. So the software or website or whatever you have is designed in a way that is already prepared for the localization. So once there is a request for the localization, it’s actually way easier to do the localization because internationalization was done in the first place.
