Role Description
The Japanese Translator role at Formix Asia is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka. The translator will be responsible for accurately translating written materials from Japanese to English and vice versa, including documents, emails, reports, and marketing content. Daily tasks include reviewing source texts, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy, maintaining consistency with terminology, and collaborating with team members to clarify meanings and context. The role may also involve interpreting during meetings or calls, supporting communication between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and local teams, and assisting in the preparation of bilingual communications and presentations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Japanese Translation, general Translation, and Japanese to English language work.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration.
- Candidates should possess Interpreting skills for meetings, calls, and live discussions when needed.
- Candidates should have high proficiency in Japanese and English, with strong grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills in both languages.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple translation tasks within deadlines.
- Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Dhaka and collaborating with diverse, multinational teams.
- A relevant academic background in Japanese language, linguistics, translation studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in professional translation or interpreting, particularly in corporate or recruitment contexts, is an advantage.
