Role Description The German Translator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Bucharest Metropolitan Area. This role focuses on translating a variety of documents, digital content, and business communications from German to English and/or Romanian, and vice versa, while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and consistency. The translator will research and apply correct terminology, adapt content to the appropriate audience, and ensure alignment with BaryTech’s brand voice and technical standards. Daily tasks include reviewing and revising translated materials, collaborating with project teams and subject matter experts, and supporting cross-border communication for IT, software, and consulting projects. The role also involves maintaining glossaries and style guides, monitoring linguistic quality, and meeting project deadlines in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Translation and German Translation, with the ability to work accurately on technical and business content.
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and international stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Writing and terminology management, including maintaining glossaries and consistent language usage.
- Advanced proficiency in German and strong command of English; knowledge of Romanian is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a translator or linguistic specialist, preferably in IT, technology, or professional services.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with translation tools, CAT software, and standard office productivity tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, German Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
