Job Description
Location: Gurgaon (India)/ Hybrid

About Us:
Trek is a global leader in bicycle manufacturing and distribution. We are dedicated to creating high-quality products that resonate with cycling enthusiasts worldwide. We are looking for a talented Project Coordinator to join our translation team remotely from India, aligning their work schedule with Europe or U.S. working hours.
Role Overview:
The Project Coordinator will work closely with content creators within IT, marketing, and sales, as well as external translators and agencies to ensure timely and accurate translation and localization of product and marketing copy. This role requires strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders and global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Translation coordination (75%)
- Daily project management, including analysis of source content, project initiation and planning, and managing linguist and in-country reviewer teams.
- Constant communication with business DRIs and project sponsors.
- Calmly and confidently plan, execute, and manage multiple timelines to ensure high-quality translations on deadline.
- Monitor and communicate status of projects to localization manager and appropriate teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to Trek brand and quality standards.
Process management (25%)
- Apply Trek’s process optimization practices to maximize quality and internal client satisfaction while minimizing budget.
- Collaborate with the localization manager to continuously evolve and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with U.S.-based stakeholders and global markets. Experience adapting communication styles for different audiences.
- Experience in international marketing project management. Background in working with marketing teams to ensure localized content aligns with Trek brand voice and resonates with bicycle audiences globally.
- Proven experience managing localization work for U.S.-based companies or teams. Comfortable working with and understanding the needs of different stakeholders. Ability to pre-emptively identify problems and propose practical solutions independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in training. Ability to build relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and global stakeholders.
Additional Qualifications:
- Full professional English-language proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of localization/translation experience
- Proficiency in CAT tools such as GlobalLink, Trados Studio, or Wordfast
- Strong attention to detail at both the content and project level
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently and resourcefully
