Senior Project Manager – Homebased – Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and Peru

As a Senior Project Manager in ICON’s Language Services department, you will lead complex translation and localization projects for pharmaceutical and clinical clients, ensuring seamless execution, high quality, and regulatory compliance. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will manage client relationships, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in mentoring others, solving complex challenges, and contributing to strategic initiatives that support the growth and integration of ICON’s Language Services.
What You Will Be Doing

- Maintaining and sharing awareness of pharma/biotech/medical device trends and evolving client expectations.
- Independently managing complex, high-value translation and localization projects from initiation through delivery.
- Acting as the primary client partner, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and providing strategic guidance.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in Life Sciences translation and localization, advising both clients and internal teams.
- Taking full accountability for project quality, timelines, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
- Monitoring and managing project risks, developing robust mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Identifying workflow inefficiencies and lead initiatives to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance scalability.
- Leading cross-functional collaboration across internal teams to ensure aligned service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Guiding clients on best practices, regulatory considerations, and tailored solutions based on project complexity and goals.
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and relevant regulations across all deliverables.
- Driving and leading quality investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of CAPAs.
- Contributing to the development and integration of new service offerings and operational innovations.
- Supporting budgeting, quoting, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and alignment with client expectations.
- Presenting project insights, processing improvements, and client feedback to senior stakeholders and leadership.
- Promoting a culture of excellence and process improvement within the project management function.
- Mentoring and training junior and mid-level staff, encouraging professional development and skills growth.
- Actively expanding your own knowledge base on industry trends, client needs, and evolving service models.
- Supporting leadership with resource planning, strategic initiatives, and continuous evaluation of departmental performance
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in project management within translation, localization, or language services.
- Expertise with Life Sciences translation projects (pharmaceutical, medical device, clinical, or biotech)
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.Advanced proficiency in CAT tools, translation management systems, and project tracking software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other document formats (e.g., PDFs, XML, PowerPoint).
