About this role
We’re seeking a Product Localization Manager to drive the localization of our education products for the US market, ensuring they resonate with local users while maintaining core product integrity. You’ll act as the bridge between overseas business teams (sales/operations) and HQ product/R&D, translating regional needs into actionable strategies. Your expertise in cultural adaptation, user behavior analysis, and product localization will directly impact our global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Localization Strategy & Delivery
- Drive the full localization pipeline—string extraction, translation, LQA, internationalization fixes, and release gates.
User & Cultural Insight
- Lead market-specific research and usability studies to surface culture-driven friction points, then champion fixes in the roadmap.
Cross-Functional Program Leadership
- Run twice-weekly stand-ups with product, engineering, design, and regional ops to turn field feedback into actionable tickets and ship on schedule.
Sales & Operations Enablement
- Lead building repeatable playbooks, demo scripts, and micro-learning modules so sales and customer-success teams can convert localized features into revenue and retention.
Governance & Scale
- Maintain a globalization decision matrix that balances regional must-haves against core-product coherence, ensuring we scale smart—not siloed.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- 2+ years supporting sales/ops teams in a product-localization or cross-cultural role.
- Proven track record of resolving culture-related product adoption challenges .
- Strong ability to convert business needs into technical/product requirements .
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (written/spoken) to liaise with global teams.
- Residency in the US Eastern Time Zone required.
- Familiar with target market (U.S.) education trends.
