As a Localization Lead, you will coordinate translation projects, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and vendors. About Strategic Content Solutions Group (SCS)
The Strategic Content Solutions Group, part of RWS’s Language Services division, works closely with major accounts and clients of all sizes who are going global with specialized localization services. These services cover the entire localization spectrum, from translating content, media, and audio to creating engaging eLearning programs and transcribing highly impactful marketing campaigns. The SCS works closely with RWS’s Language eXperience Delivery (LXD) platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists, and a network of more than 29,000 translators, who use RWS’s proprietary machine translation, AI, and translation productivity tools, to deliver a 24/7 service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Job Overview
- Collaborate with project managers, localization engineers, and cross-functional teams to enhance the localization process.
- Oversee task distribution, quality assurance, and issue resolution, ensuring seamless workflow among translators and internal teams.
- Analyze localization workflows, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Communicate effectively in English, using phone, email, and digital collaboration tools within a global environment.
- Leverage and expand knowledge of localization technologies, including CAT tools, HTML/XML, and automation solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, generating reports to track progress and ensure operational transparency.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills, ensuring efficiency in workflow management.
- Ability to think critically and improvise when solving problems.
- Proactive approach with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience; a university degree is beneficial but not required.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/XML, with opportunities to further develop technical expertise.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with multilingual proficiency as a bonus.
- Attention to detail, recognizing how small errors can significantly impact outcomes.

- Prior experience in localization or related fields is beneficial, but candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
